Retirement planning

Pensions

If you are a working expat, the chances are your company is not providing a contributing pension scheme.

So what are your thoughts on this?

  • Retirement is a long way off
  • There's plenty of time in the future to plan for retirement
  • Live for today

But have you considered?

  • At what age do you want to retire
  • What income you want to retire on
  • How you are going to fund that income

Projected retirement Fund £1000s

The above figures are based on a male aged 35 and a male aged 45 investing £150.00 per month into a pension plan until aged 60. The projected retirement fund at age 60 assuming a growth rate of 12% per annum is £214,182 and £64,387 respectively.

Pension Income
A fund of £214,182 invested at 5% per annum would give an income of £10,709.10 per year (£205.94 per week). A fund of £64,387 invested at 5% would give an income of £3,219.35 per year (£61.91 per week).

WHICH WOULD YOU PREFER?

As with most things in life, the longer you put off planning your retirement, the tougher it's going to be. For further information please contact us.
